Touch-screen kiosks are available at pre- and post-security locations these provide information on a range of airport facilities.Īirport Ambassadors are on hand in the terminal building to provide airport tours and information they are easily recognisable by their blue jackets. The airport information desk is located on the baggage reclaim level and provides airport and tourist information, including maps and guides. For information on airport facilities, transportation and accommodation, take a look at our Port Columbus International Airport guide. Nevertheless I sometimes just feel insecure about the lack of public transits from any airport and this airport is no exception to that. One of Ohio's busiest airports, Port Columbus International Airport operates mainly regional and national flights as well as a small number of routes to international destinations. Of course as this airport is only about 15 minutes' drive from downtown even a taxi ride costs only about $25 which implies a low demand of public transportation options in this region. This airport is connected to the city by only two bus lines (52 and 92). My only concern about this facility is the lack of public transportation options.
COLUMBUS AIRPORT FREE
This airport offers free wi-fi and plenty of power outlets in between seats including USB power ports. Baggage handling was fairly quick I did not really have to wait for more than 5 minutes until my bags were placed on the carousel for pickup. Of course TSA agents sometimes can be less than courteous. In most cases the check-in and security check procedures altogether took only about 10 minutes for me and as the terminal is not too big even walking to the farthest gate takes only about 5 minutes. The landside and the 3 concourses are also fairly well laid out and dotted with decent number of eateries. A McDonald's is located within the airport complex. The parking garage is attached to the main terminal so travelers can avoid being exposed to the wind/rain/sunlight to reach their cars. The main terminal is not so big but not too small to be overcrowded either. Most parts including the restrooms are very clean. The facility has gone through a major renovation some time ago and it is still well maintained.

Overall, I think it's great for flying in/out of my hometown, but probably not much to get excited about for someone passing through. There is Starbucks available, if you have the time to wait in line a while during peak hours. Food options, as others have stated, are pretty weak. On a previous trip, I can also attest to the fact that my wife underwent a pretty intense pat down because she was carrying baby formula through security with our child.maybe this is typical protocol nowadays but I think she was surprised by an agent searching inside the underwire of her bra (something we hadn't seen/experienced when traveling with our first child). Unfortunate, given the customer-facing nature of his job. One in particular seemed super disgruntled, and lacked basic communication skills to boot. However, some male agents on the other side of the x-ray machines were harsh and disrespectful to travelers (including myself). on our most recent trip was actually quite pleasant. The young lady helping us load our trays with our personal items, shoes, etc. I will echo another reviewer's comments about the rudeness of some TSA agents.

It's seldom crowded, though I've had the occasional long wait to get through security. Always enjoy how easy it is to get in and out, as I park in the garage that allows direct access via an underground walkway. Not Verified | CMH is a nice mid-sized airport.
